While mixed martial arts is primarily a male person dominated sport, it does have female athletes.[i] [two] [3] [4] [5] For instance, Female contest in Nippon includes promotions such equally DEEP Jewels. Rule differentiation [edit]

The traditional MMA rules have oftentimes been adapted for female competitions because of prophylactic concerns. In Japan, ReMix prohibited ground-and-pound and featured a 20-second time limit for ground fighting. This rule remained post-obit ReMix's 2001 re-branding as Smackgirl, though the fourth dimension limit was extended to 30 seconds. The dominion was abolished in 2008.[34]
